Lucas Oil Products becomes principal
shareholder of MavTV

CORONA, Calif. (Jan. 28) -- Lucas Oil
founders Forrest and Charlotte Lucas announced Thursday that Lucas Oil
Products, Inc., has become the principal stockholder of MavTV, a 24-hour
cable and satellite television network.
"With as many different things as we sponsor we thought the timing was
right to get more involved with MavTV," Forrest Lucas said. "It's really
an aggressive and edgy network and one that's growing at a quick pace so
we're excited to take this next step."
MavTV already features a significant amount of Lucas Oil Studio
productions and the network should continue to be the perfect avenue to
showcase the ever-growing catalogue of Lucas Oil-sponsored racing
series. Coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, team demolition
derby racing, skid plate racing, motorcycle hill climbing, the American
Sprint Car Series, indoor dirt karting, and mud bogging already fill the
programming schedule with other series set to be added in the near
future.
"The ultimate goal is to make MavTV the place for race fans to go to
watch the stuff they want to see the most," Forrest Lucas said. "We're
trying to make it as easy as possible for people to keep up with the
various types of racing out there. Motorsports is a lot more than just
NASCAR. The grassroots stuff has a huge following but they haven't
always had a home on the big networks. Now they'll have a dedicated TV
network that's happy to have them and promote them properly around the
world."
Lucas Oil Products, Inc., currently sponsors the Lucas Oil Motocross
Championship, Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series, Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series presented by GEICO
Powersports, Lucas Oil Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters,
and the Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by Rockstar Energy Drink.
Lucas Oil Products, Inc., also is the broadcast presenting sponsor and
Official Oil of the GEICO Powersports Endurocross Series.
Launched on Oct. 1, 2004, MavTV is broadcast in High Definition in more
than 70 markets across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom,
and Australia. The network appeals to a target audience of men aged
18-54 with unique and opinionated programming that zeroes in on common
interests of the viewers, including everything from sports and fitness
to money and gadgets.
MavTV currently carries popular series like Speed Freaks, The RAD Girls,
AMA Motorcycle Racing, American Tailgater, Bikini AllStars, Ultimate
Combat Experience, MavTV Roller Derby, and Lucas Oil Motorsports, just
to name a few. For a complete list of MavTV's programming, visit
MavTV.com.
In 2009, the rapidly expanding network completed a far-reaching
affiliation agreement with Comcast and also was picked up by the DISH
Network. Additionally, MavTV is available to customers of Charter
Communications, Cablevision, and Verizon, and deals have been executed
with Time Warner and Bright House Networks.
NHRA Top Fuel drivers Morgan Lucas and Shawn Langdon will use their
8,000-horsepower dragsters to promote MavTV in the Full Throttle Drag
